Privacy policy

In short

We store as little as possible. Your email address so we can create your account, whatever you store yourself such as your cellar, and the analyses you have done. We sell nothing to third parties and do not use your data to track you across other websites.

Who processes your data

Sipnificant (part of Joy Prints) is responsible for processing personal data in connection with the use of sipnificant.com.

What we store and why

Your account

Your email address and an encrypted password. If you sign in with Google we receive your email address, your name and your language preference. We get no access to your Google account and do not see your password there.

We need this to create your account and let you sign in. We keep it for as long as your account exists.

What you enter

The description of your dish, the text we read from your photo, and the advice that follows. This lets you see earlier advice again without having it made anew.

You can delete any piece of advice from your overview yourself.

Your photo

A photo of your plate, a menu or a label is sent to the language model to be read. We do not store the photo itself: only the text that comes out of it is saved.

Your cellar

What you put in your cellar stays until you remove it. That is the point of that feature.

Usage and payment

We count how many analyses you do per month in order to apply the limits. If you have a subscription we store proof of your purchase and the date it expires. We receive no payment details: those stay with Google.

Technical data

When registering and when using the contact form we temporarily store your IP address to counter misuse and automated sign-ups. That disappears by itself within a few hours.

Who we share data with

Only with parties needed to make the service work:

• OpenAI reads your photo and writes the advice. They receive the contents of your photo and your dish description, not your email address or your name.
• Google handles signing in with a Google account and the processing of subscriptions in the Play Store.
• Nuestro proveedor de alojamiento stores the data the service runs on.

We do not sell data and do not use it for third-party advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and its contents for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your advice, your cellar and your data go with it. An account that was never confirmed is cleaned up automatically.

We keep payment data for as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

You may request which data we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. You may also ask to receive your data in a readable file. Contact us for this; we respond within a month.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Cookies

We only use cookies needed to function: one to keep you signed in and one to secure forms. No consent is required for these and we do not track you with them.
